Kuban State Medical University (KubSMU) is one of the oldest universities in the region. Over the years of its existence, it has come a long way, turning from the medical faculty of the first Kuban University into one of the authoritative educational institutions, included in the top ten medical universities of the country.

Currently, Kuban State Medical University is a large developing center of science, education and innovation, where they focus on the active involvement of young specialists in research work and the study of advanced areas in medicine.
KubSMU consists of 7 faculties: general medicine, dentistry, pediatrics, pharmacy, medical and preventive care, the faculty of pre-university training, the faculty of advanced training and professional retraining of specialists.

 The structure of the university includes the Clinic of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education KubSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia, a scientific and medical library, a Multidisciplinary Accreditation and Simulation Center, an educational and production department (vivarium and experimental operating room), administrative and economic units. The bases of the clinical departments of the university are all the leading medical institutions of the city and the region.
